Since 1987, I have specialized in providing

     resource and practical information, guidance,

and support to animal caregivers confronting the

challenging times of their pets’ acute or chronic

illness, serious injury, dying and death.  In 1990,

I established the first comprehensive pet loss

counseling program in New England at the

     Massachusetts SPCA, and have since

been serving individuals, families, and groups

referred by the MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical

Center, the Animal Rescue League of Boston,

humane organizations and veterinary clinics both

in and out-of-state.  By promoting optimal

caregiving practices for pets and people alike,

my counseling services enable clients to enhance

     their understanding of human-animal well-being,

methods of stress coping, and healing from loss.
